Ken Meints has experience conducting orchestras in Illinois, California and Omaha and is a doctoral candidate in Orchestra Conducting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He holds a Master of Music in trombone from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
His teaching experience spans the entire musical spectrum from preschool general music to university courses in trombone, theory, and performing ensembles. He currently serves as director of orchestras at Brownell-Talbot and the Omaha Conservatory of Music. Additionally, he has been appointed music director of Orchestra Omaha, a community ensemble dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the community through high quality orchestra concerts presented free to the public.
