Joseph Weber


Joseph earned his B.M. in clarinet performance from the renowned Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2014. Upon entrance in 2010, Joseph was named a Jacobs Scholar and received the Barbara and David Jacobs Memorial Scholarship, one of the school's most prestigious honors. His primary teacher was Howard Klug. As principal clarinet of Indiana University's Philharmonic Orchestra, Joseph was part of the premier of Faculty Composer P.Q. Phan's opera, The Tale of Lady Thi Kin. He also participated in Indiana University's Summer  Music Festival for three summers.

Joseph is an active  substitute and extra musician for the Omaha Symphony. He has played in a wide variety of performances with the orchestra, including concerts in the Masterworks, Movie Music, Symphony Pops, and Symphony Rocks series. In addition, Joseph has joined the Omaha Symphony for many education events, including Music Mentors, Concerts for Youth, Family Series, and Mission Imagination. As an educator, Joseph believes in creating an environment where a students feels safe to make mistakes and ask questions.
