Have you ever wished that you could strum and pick the tuneful strings of the guitar? This class is for you! Designed for first-timers, Guitar Explorers will introduce you to the basics of guitar technique, chords and leads. Whether your dream is to play like classical great Andres Segovia, or you just want to back up your friends who sing or play pop or rock tunes, this is the place to start. Upon completion of this class, students will have a solid foundation of beginner skills. This class is a wonderful way to dabble in guitar prior to beginning private instruction.
Cost: $150 per semester, $15 materials fee (students keep materials)
In the event of any student absence, please notify your instructor in advance. After the second consecutive missed class without notice or contact, the student may be dismissed and the date of the second missed class will be considered the official withdrawal date. All withdrawal policies will be followed.
Students are encouraged to be on time. Students who are late for class cannot be guaranteed their full class time.
Omaha Conservatory of Music reserves the right to dismiss any student without a refund due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments, and/or noncompliance with the Conservatory's policies.
Group class tuition payments are due 5 days prior to the first class session. Class tuition is non-refundable after this point, regardless of the reason for withdrawal.
Did you know you don't need to be enrolled in private lessons at the Conservatory in order to take many of our group classes? IT'S TRUE! With the exception of just a couple of our more advanced classes... As long as you're studying your instrument somewhere — and pay the one-time registration fee — you're welcome.LEARN MORE
Our annual tuition, which includes 40 weeks of private instruction plus the opportunity to attend dozens of Conservatory events at no additional cost, doesn't cover the total cost of your musical education here.
