Jennifer Coots serves Omaha Conservatory of Music as Registrar and Database Administrator. She began a career in computer programming, obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programing and Network Management from Vatterott College in Saint Joseph, MO, in 2001 with highest honors. There she specialized in database design and implementation.
From there she joined the Missouri Department of Transportation District One in Computer Sciences. She also served as Technical Support for Vatterott Global Online, and aided in student job placement as part of Career Services. She served the college as a substitute teacher both on campus and in online classes. She has enjoyed volunteering at the Community Hospital of Fairfax, Missouri.
Jennifer was born in Omaha and spent most of her formative years in rural Northwest Missouri, forty-five minutes to the nearest Walmart. She lived in 31 places as both military child and spouse before she decided Omaha was a fantastic place to put down roots. She began studying viola at Omaha Conservatory of Music in 2012. She joined the administration team in 2013.
Jennifer currently studies composition as an active member of the community. She is the Conservatory’s plant-lady in residence, and her favorite tree is the burr oak.
