Technique/Repertoire Classes

These instrument specific classes will focus on specific repertoire from the classical literature which develops key skills needed for mastery.  Also, students will experience the music of the Omaha Indian Nation, as part of OCM’s Nebraska Roots:  Music and Mentors curriculum.  Material studied in these classes will be performed at a final concert in March.  

Violin Pretwinkle & Book 1 Tech: 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.

Violin Books 2 & 3 Tech: 9:45 - 10:30 a.m.

Composer’s Workshop

Students interested in composing their own original works will study with an experienced coach to learn vital concepts for good composition, such as structure, harmonic theory, and orchestration skills.  Original works will also have a forum for performance.
