Kenneth Meints, DMA
Trombone, Composition, Conducting, Euphonium, Tuba, French Horn, Suzuki
Ken Meints has experience conducting orchestras in Illinois, California, and Omaha and is a doctoral candidate in Orchestra Conducting at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He holds a Master of Music in Trombone from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
His teaching experience spans the entire musical spectrum, from preschool general music to university courses in trombone, theory, and performing ensembles. He currently serves as Director of Orchestras at Brownell-Talbot and Omaha Conservatory of Music. Additionally, he has been appointed Music Director of Orchestra Omaha, a community ensemble dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the community through high-quality orchestra concerts presented free to the public.
What to expect in lessons with Dr. Meints:
- Learning begins from where the student enters the studio. Lessons are tailored toward the student’s abilities and interests. The lesson experience will build the skills necessary for success, with a focus on being the best musician you can be at any level!
